Henry
Mr. Henry is a professor and full-time faculty
at Columbia College Chicago, and Coordinator of the Art and
Design Department’s Product Design Program. Professor
Henry earned a BFA degree from University of Kansas in Studio
Arts, a MFA in Studio Arts from the School of the Art Institute
of Chicago and MFA in Industrial Design from the University
of Illinois, Chicago.
Professor Henry has been instrumental in developing state-of-the-art
technology based Art and Design Programs as well being a prime
conduit for initiating collaborations between disciplines
within the department and college community. In support of
these endeavors he has received a Columbia College Technology
Fellow Award and an International Research Grant from the
Graduate School. His international grant sent him to Germany
to work with the German manufacturer BOSCH to develop an archive
collection for Columbia College Product Design Program. He
has lectured extensively and delivered papers at NEOCON and
(IDSA) Industrial Design Society of America national regarding
the use of technology in education and he is currently an
active member of the professional association of (IDSA). Kevin
had designed and fabricated furniture throughout the Chicago
and continues his efforts in the sector of furniture design
and fabrication.
