This practical workshop will prepare participants with the necessary tools to draw a road map to successful partnerships with community based organizations. Students are instructed in applying asset-based surveys (from Research Methodologies learned the previous semester), articulating the goals, roles and responsibilities of all project partcipants, creating flexible timelines, exploring conflict resolution techniques. Students will discuss cultural, class and gender issues, learn about documentation and how to develop program content, implementation and evaluation criteria with their partnering non-profit organization.
