Course Description: Theory & Criticism: Contemporary Architecture and Design

Designed as a seminar, this course is interactive and will consist of discussion, critical and analytical writing, site visits, related fieldtrips, and in-class exercises such as sketching, diagramming, and drawing. This course explores the history and theory of Contemporary Movements in architecture and touches on aspects of interiors, decorative arts, landscape architecture, and urban design. The course examines the rise of new movements in architecture from tlate modernism through contemporary times.
