This course focuses on teaching the language of working drawings and the process of preparing Construction Documents (CDs). Assignments will familiarize the student with standard details, standard drawing conventions, the development and documentation of custom details, the role of specifications, and the CSI format. Assignmnets are integrated with projects from the program sequence of concurrent studios and focus on green materials and finishes. Photography and model making are used to advance design ideas, and sketching and manual drafting supplement CAD.
