Activities

This committee oversees all undergraduate college-wide academic policies and their effect on academic standards, regulations, and quality, and their consistency with the mission of the college.  In addition, it reviews all college requirements, undergraduate academic goals, and degree programs and requirements, and considers new academic programs.  It reviews and recommends all college and liberal arts requirements.

Committee

All College Tenure Committee (ACT)

Composition

The ACT shall be composed of nine faculty members with Tenured appointments. No two members of the ACT Committee shall be from the same Department. Committee includes 6 tenured faculty elected by CCFO, 1 tenured department chair, 2 tenured faculty appointed by Provost.

Activities

Based solely on the materials received from the School Dean, the ACT Committee shall prepare a written report that (a) evaluates the faculty member’s past, and assesses his or her likely future, performance and accomplishments in each of the Evaluation Areas in relation to the Tenure Criteria and (b) presents a reasoned recommendation as to whether the faculty member should or should not be granted a Tenured appointment.
